The Dead Rabbits: a fifties and sixties cover band, existed from 1978 till 1986. The band started with Harry Niehof (guitar, voice), Jan Karstens (guitar), John van Hulst (organ, guitar, voice), Dick van Oortmerssen (bass), Cees-Jan Lastdrager (drums) and Hans Konneman (technician). The music on this site has been recorded with these members in John's 4-track studio. Harry and John also wrote two songs for this CD, 'Pubic Hair' (giving an impression of Harry's time in the army) and 'A Little Bit of Love' (yes, a love song). Johan Huizing (saxophone) joined some years later.
Later on, Jaap Bakker (bass, voice), Ron Glasbeek (bass, voice), Lau Leeuw (bass, voice), Eric de Zwaan and Peter Millenaar replaced Dick van Oortmerssen. Coen Fisher and Hennie Haagsma replaced Cees-Jan Lastdrager.
